Creating Ovals The Oval tool has two modes. Mode Description Oval by Box Defines the dimensions of the box containing the oval Oval by Width and Height Defines the height and width lengths to create the oval Oval by Box To create an oval by box: 1. Click the Oval tool from the Basic palette and select Oval by Box mode. 2. Click to set the first point of the box containing the oval and then click again to set. To create a true circle, press the Shift key while creating the oval.
